Instagram Activates Fundraising Feature

Facebook, which has been working on a feature that will allow for fundraising for a while, is activating this feature on Instagram. With this feature, which will be similar to those on YouTube and Twitch, people will be able to collect donations if they meet certain conditions.

With this feature, Instagram users will be able to collect donations for themselves, their businesses, their friends, or a cause they deem important through the app. However, the donations collected will only be used for charity. However, there are many more conditions to be met in order to benefit from this feature of Instagram.

INSTAGRAM WILL CHECK

First of all, the personal fundraising feature will not be available to all users and will require 18 years of age. In addition, each request will be checked and the purpose of collecting money will be evaluated, and then permission will be given to collect donations. If permission is granted, users will be able to collect money for 30 days. This period can be extended if necessary.

HOW TO OPEN INSTAGRAM FUNDRAISING FEATURE?

To enable the fundraising feature, go to the settings section of Instagram’s iOS or Android app and tap ‘Individual Fundraising‘ It will be enough to turn on the feature. However, this feature has not been activated for Turkey yet. It seems difficult for this feature to be activated in Turkey, both legally and because Stripe, which Facebook cooperates with in fundraising, does not exist in Turkey.

The fundraising feature will currently be tested in the US, UK and Ireland. Once the testing phase is complete, the personal fundraising feature is expected to be available in other countries.
